Unfortunately, this includes the USA, Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>If you want to get a multi-entry visa<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Don&#8217;t worry, getting your Russian visa at the embassy is pretty easy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Russian visa embassy requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> 1. Fill out the visa application form<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you&#8217;ve obtained your LOI, you can go ahead and complete the following <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/visa.kdmid.ru\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">online application form<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Keep in mind that the LOI is a must-have before completing this form, since they&#8217;ll be asking you for your sponsor details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After submitting your form, you will have to print it out and bring it to the embassy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Go to your respective consulate, embassy or Russian Visa Center <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Fortunately, <a href=\"https:\/\/againstthecompass.com\/en\/country\/russia\/\"><strong>Russia<\/strong><\/a> has embassies in pretty much every country, all of them fully operational, including those in the USA, Canada, the UK and anywhere across Europe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Some embassies require an appointment, while others don&#8217;t. Moreover, some prefer to delegate all visa services to their respective Russian Visa Center, while others require travelers to go to the actual embassy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Either way, look for your Russian Embassy website to check their specific requirements. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These are the most common requirements:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Printed copy of your Letter of Invitation <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Printed copy of your Visa application form<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Passport<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 passport photos<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valid travel insurance for traveling in Russia. We recommend&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/alfastrah.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\"><strong>Alfa Strakhovanie<\/strong><\/a>, <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.intermundial.es\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">InterMundial<\/a><\/strong> (website in Spanish) or <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/auras.insure\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Auras<\/a><\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How much does the visa for Russia cost?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>The price varies from embassy to embassy but at the Russian Consulate of Barcelona:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Single entry non-urgent visa:<\/strong> \u20ac120<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Single entry urgent visa:<\/strong> \u20ac195<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Multi-entry visa (6-month validity):<\/strong> \u20ac250<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How long does it take for the visa to be issued?<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>1 &#8211; 3 weeks, depending on your visa type.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4\">Tips on how to apply for a Russian visa <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">as an American<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applying for a visa for Russia as an American isn&#8217;t very different to other nationalities, but it presents certain particularities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For example, as an American, you can only apply for a <strong>3-year multiple entry visa<\/strong> &#8211; that&#8217;s the <em>only<\/em> option you will be eligible for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Russia is huge, so this is a great advantage if you plan to visit Russia multiple times<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a great advantage over other passports, but it doesn&#8217;t come without its own costs, which is that they charge a 500 USD fee.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to get your appointment at the Russian Embassy in the USA<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>After getting your <strong>Letter of Invitation<\/strong> and <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/visa.kdmid.ru\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">filling out the online form<\/a><\/strong>, make an appointment with any of the following consulates:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Embassy in Washington DC:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:info.us@artionis.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>info.us@artionis.com<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consulate in New York City:&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:info.nycusa@russia-visacentre.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>info.nycusa@russia-visacentre.com<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consulate in Houston (TX):&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:postalus@russia-visacentre.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong>postalus@russia-visacentre.com<\/strong><\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>After submitting your documents to the embassy, expect to receive your visa within 2-3 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>I live far away from those cities.
